Vue d'ensemble
This page is a catalogue summary while we rebuild it as a full ownership review. It is not yet a buying guide.
The F50 was Ferrari's follow-up to the F40, and it took a different approach. Instead of a turbocharged V8, it used a naturally aspirated 4.7 litre V12 derived from the 1990 Formula 1 car, mounted directly to the carbon-fibre tub. The engine revved to 8,500 rpm and produced 513 bhp. The body was shaped by Pininfarina with a large rear wing and a removable hardtop. Only 349 were built.
