Vue d'ensemble

This page is a catalogue summary while we rebuild it as a full ownership review. It is not yet a buying guide.

The Sport Evolution was the ultimate version of the E30 M3, built to keep the car competitive in Group A racing. BMW enlarged the engine to 2.5 litres, added a more aggressive bodykit with adjustable spoilers, and reduced weight. The result was 235 bhp in a compact, perfectly balanced chassis. Only 600 were built, and they are now among the most valuable M cars.
