Overview
This page is a catalogue summary while we rebuild it as a full ownership review. It is not yet a buying guide.
The 2002 Turbo was Europe's first turbocharged production car, and it arrived with the kind of aggression that the technology seemed to promise. The KKK turbocharger gave the 2.0 litre engine a sudden surge of power, and the car gained flared arches, a front air dam and reverse graphics on the front spoiler. It was raw and demanding, with noticeable turbo lag and abrupt power delivery. Only 1,672 were built before the oil crisis ended the experiment.
