1. Who we are
Dream Car Garage is an independent editorial project about modern and classic performance cars, based in Granada, Spain. It is run by José Teodosio Lorente Vallecillos and María Angustias Izquierdo García. You can read more about us on the about page.
We are a data and ownership publication, not a road-test magazine. When we have not driven a car, we say so. Our reference pages draw on manufacturer documentation, published specifications, owner reports, service schedules, parts prices, and live market listings. We are progressively adding source links and ownership detail to every reference page. A page that has not yet been rewritten is a catalogue summary, not an ownership review.
2. What we publish
We publish three kinds of work: vehicle reference pages, buying and ownership guides, and market analysis. A finished reference page answers the questions a buyer actually asks: what the car is like to own, what goes wrong, what maintenance costs, how values have moved, and what to check before buying. A guide should help a reader choose between real alternatives, not just list specifications in descending order.
We do not publish a page simply because a keyword exists. If we cannot add information, context, or a useful judgement that is not already available in a manufacturer press release or a spec table, the page does not belong here.
3. How we source and check
- Specifications: manufacturer technical data, press material, and registration documents where available.
- Prices: current classified listings and auction results, with the date and market noted. Prices move, so a figure is a snapshot, not a guarantee.
- Reliability and running costs: service schedules, known failure points documented by owners and specialists, parts prices, and workshop labour estimates. Where a cost is an estimate, we say so.
- Performance figures: manufacturer claims, clearly labelled as such. We do not present an estimated figure as a measured one.
We try to link to primary sources. When a claim cannot be verified, we either leave it out or mark it as unconfirmed. A confident sentence is not a substitute for evidence.
4. AI-assisted drafting
We use software, including AI-assisted tools, to structure vehicle data, draft early versions of reference pages, and help with translation. The founders are accountable for what is published and can revise or withdraw any piece. We do not use AI to invent specifications, quotes, owners' experiences, or test results.
5. Authorship and dates
Articles and reference pages carry a byline and a publication date. The date shows when the page was last changed. The byline names the person or editorial team accountable for the piece; it is not a decorative label.
6. Corrections
If you find an error, email hello@dreamcargarage.app with the page URL and the correction. We will check it, fix it if it is wrong, and note the change on the page where the correction is substantive. We would rather be corrected than be confidently wrong.
7. Independence and advertising
Advertising and editorial are separate. Advertisers do not choose which cars we cover, how we rank them, or what we conclude. Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, will be labelled as sponsored and kept out of buying guides and rankings. Display advertising does not influence a verdict.
