The Cup 250 was the track-focused Elise, built around a supercharged 1.8 litre engine and a body kit that added real downforce. Lotus stripped weight, fitted a fixed rear wing and a front splitter, and tuned the suspension for circuit use. It remained road legal, but every decision favoured lap time. The result was a small car that could embarrass much more powerful machinery.
