The DC2 Integra Type R is regarded as one of the finest front-wheel-drive performance cars ever built. Honda hand-ported the cylinder head, balanced the rotating assembly and fitted a close-ratio gearbox with a limited-slip differential. The chassis was seam-welded and stripped of sound insulation, and the car weighed around 1,100 kg. It revved to 8,400 rpm and rewarded precise driving like few cars of its kind.
