The GT-H was built for Hertz, reviving the Rent-a-Racer idea that had made the original GT350 famous. Shelby American added a Ford Racing handling pack, a cold-air intake, a revised exhaust and a black-and-gold paint scheme. The cars were rented, driven hard and then sold to the public. Five hundred were built, and they remain a distinctive chapter in the Shelby story.
