Overview
This page is a catalogue summary while we rebuild it as a full ownership review. It is not yet a buying guide.
The Miura is the car that made the mid-engine supercar a road-going idea. The P400 SV is the final and most developed version, with a wider rear track, revised suspension and a 3.9 litre V12 producing 380 bhp. The body is low and curving, with smooth headlight surrounds replacing the earlier cars' eyelashes and a cabin set far forward. There is no wing, no diffuser and very little visual aggression. The drama is in the proportions. Only 150 SV examples were built. In a collection it provides the origin point for the Lamborghini line that runs through the Countach, Diablo, Murcielago and Aventador, and a reminder that the first version of an idea is often the purest.
