Vue d'ensemble

This page is a catalogue summary while we rebuild it as a full ownership review. It is not yet a buying guide.

The Charger Daytona was Dodge's NASCAR homologation special, with a pointed nose cone and a huge rear wing that made it the first American car to exceed 200 mph on a closed circuit. The 426 Hemi was optional, and the car was otherwise a standard Charger underneath. Only 503 were built, and the wild aerodynamic package made it unmistakable. It is one of the most extreme muscle cars of the era.
