Vue d'ensemble
This page is a catalogue summary while we rebuild it as a full ownership review. It is not yet a buying guide.
The 1969 Z/28 was built for the Trans-Am racing series, with a high-revving 302 cubic inch V8, a close-ratio gearbox and a stiff suspension. It was not the most powerful Camaro, but it was the most balanced, and it could out-handle bigger-engined rivals. The optional cowl-induction hood, spoilers and stripes gave it a purposeful look. It is now one of the most collectible American muscle cars.
